Concept Security & Investigations

Gregory J. Myers is a security expert and consultant with more than 10 years of investigative and law enforcement experience in the government and private sectors. Prior to forming Concept Security & Investigations Inc., Mr. Myers was Vice President in charge of the Security Division of Phipps Security & Investigations, Inc., where he was responsible for the overall development of the division, including corporate policies and operational procedures, and served as Assistant School Director and Chief Instructor for the training school.

Mr. Myers began his investigative career with the New York City Law Department-Office of the Corporation Counsel and The New York City Human Resources Administration-Office of Revenue and Investigation (???ORI???), Criminal Investigations Division. As an investigator for ORI, Mr. Myers conducted investigations regarding Welfare and Medicaid fraud, and referred cases for criminal prosecution and testified in court as a witness.

At the New York City Law Department-Tort Division-Medical Malpractice Unit, Mr. Myers was appointed Chief Investigator of the unit. He was responsible for managing approximately 300 cases annually and served as liaison to EMS and municipal hospital risk management offices. As part of his duties, Mr. Myers located witnesses and experts for trial, ensured completion of trial preparation, and supervised and trained new investigators.

In addition to his government experience, Mr. Myers held managerial positions with two of the leading security companies in the United States. At Guardsmark, Inc., he was a Unit Manager and rose to become the second highest ranking branch operations manager. In this capacity he was responsible for scheduling approximately 100 security officers, preparing branch payroll, overseeing guard training, ensuring state certification compliance, designing and implementing security procedures and policies at various locations, and the training and supervision of new management personnel. At Barton Protective Services, Mr. Myers served as an Account Manager where he supervised security officers, including Fire Safety Directors, Shift Supervisors, and Console Operators. He also drafted and edited post orders, conducted management surveys, and prepared payroll.

Mr. Myers is a former Field Supervisor, Assistant Operations Manager, and Assistant Personnel Manager for Defender Security Services. In these capacities he was responsible for coordinating and managing all guard and supervisor schedules, payroll, recruiting of exempt and non-exempt employees, training, and state certification of security officers and overtime control. Prior to joining Defender Security Services, Mr. Myers was a security officer with Adelis International.

Mr. Myers was a Navy Reservist-Master-At-Arms (Submarine Security) and seasonal sworn police officer with the Long Beach Police Department. He is actively involved as an active member of the following professional organizations such as the International Association of Counter-Terrorism and Security Professionals, International Foundation for Protection Officers, International Organization of Black Security Executives, National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives, National Association of Investigative Specialists, Associated Licensed Detectives of New York State, Academy of Security Educators and Trainers and the National Association of Certified Mediators.

Mr. Myers has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration and Planning, and an Associate of Science degree in Government and Public Administration from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Mr. Myers is a Certified Mediator through Lakewood College.
